We work closely with the local community, but we are also members of a number of organisations that help us professionally. We also work with other housing associations and housing co-operatives, because it can be beneficial to work together to achieve something, for example reduced costs on larger projects or joint training for staff.

Our current professional memberships include:

  • Employers in Voluntary Housing (EVH) – who provide us with unlimited support for our role as an employer and a not-for-profit organisation who has a voluntary governing body
Scottish Federation of Housing Associations – who are a membership organisation for housing associations, a voice for the sector and who provides assistance with housing related matters. They work with the government and with the Scottish Housing Regulator and provide them with feedback on legislation
Housemark – an organisation that help us collect data and compare our performance with other housing associations
ACOSVO – ACOSVO is a membership organisation for third sector leaders and senior staff in Scotland. They help leaders in the third sector develop, excel and inspire.
The Board Development Agency – An organisation that provides support with governance and performance.
CIPFA – The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy
Scotland’s Housing Network – a consortium of local authority and housing association landlords working together to drive up performance and deliver quality services by means of benchmarking, self-assessment and practice exchange.
Happy to Translate – national scheme which enables organisations to engage effectively with customers who speak little or no English.
