Board of Management

The Board of Management meet regularly to discuss Muirhouse Housing Association Business.  They hold discussions and help to guide MHA’s overall direction.  Our Board Members come from a mix of different backgrounds and professions, and they all bring something unique to The Board.

The Board allows a maximum of 15 Members.  Two sub-committees are run by The Board.  These sub-committees delegate responsibilities for Audit and Risk, and Staffing.  The Board meet a minimum of 8 times per year; the Audit and Risk Committee meet a minimum of 4 times a year; and the Staffing sub-committee meet a minimum of two times a year.

The Board of Management is responsible for: –

  • Providing effective leadership, control and direction
  • Exercising good governance across all of our activities
  • Ensuring we achieve our aims and objectives; and
  • Ensuring that we comply with all legislative and regulatory requirements

 

We have also appointed an External Auditor and an Internal Auditor.  This assists The Board to oversee Muirhouse Housing Association and ensure we meet all our legal and statutory requirements. Currently RSM are our External Auditor and BDO are our Internal Auditor.
