Who we are

We are a community-based housing association providing high quality social housing and excellent customer service in Muirhouse in North Edinburgh.

For our 25th anniversary, we made a short film to celebrate our history and to look forward to the next 25 years. Please watch our film below.

Further Information About us and What we do

We are a Registered Social Landlord (“RSL”) which means we report to the Scottish Housing Regulator and must meet their requirements for how we operate. The Scottish Housing Regulator’s function is to monitor, assess, report and intervene (as appropriate) in relation to social landlords’ performance of housing activities and RSLs’ financial well-being and standards of governance.

Every year we report to the Scottish Housing Regulator on our Key Performance Indicators, on our financial wellbeing and on our compliance with the standards required of our properties.
There are also many circumstances in which we are required to report to the Scottish Housing Regulator, these are called “notifiable events”. These can be, for example, if we take out a new loan or if we fail to follow health and safety requirements.
You can learn more about the role of the Scottish Housing Regulator here.

We are also a registered charity. This means that whilst the Scottish Housing Regulator is our primary authority, we also have to meet the requirements of the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). To do this we must have only charitable purposes and we must provide public benefit.
Our charitable purpose is to provide “The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage”.

“They are always up to date in everything that happens in and around the around the community and always doing things to improve the area. ”
