Salary: EVH Grade 8 – £39,286 – £43,185

We are a small, community-based Housing Association in North Edinburgh. We currently have a stock of 570 homes. We are governed by a highly committed and talented Board of Management with strategic objectives to continually improve all aspects of the organisation and community.
An exciting opportunity has arisen with the creation of a new role within our Senior Management Team. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to fill the post of Governance and Compliance Manager. The post holder will report directly to the Chief Executive, have a broad and varied remit and be responsible for ensuring the organisation’s governance and compliance is fit for purpose and fully compliant with bodies such as SHR, SPSO, ICO and reporting on this to the Board of Management.
Your significant practical experience will provide you with considerable knowledge in the areas of regulation and compliance, risk management, complaints handling, FOISA and GDPR. Duties include taking the lead on improving all areas of governance & compliance, review and development of policies and systems in these areas, responding to information requests and compiling & submitting statutory returns. You will also be responsible for supporting the members of the Board of Management including aspects such as training, appraisals, AGM, and annual Strategy Days.
