Our Service to you – Office reopening

Our service to you

We have made some changes to our services as a result of the most recent advice from the Scottish Government.  All our decisions have been made in the best interests of the health, safety and wellbeing of you and of our staff and contractors.

Repairs and maintenance

We are pleased say that we are now able to carry out routine repairs, planned maintenance and safety works as well as emergency repairs and gas safety checks.  Our staff are working hard to get through a backlog so please bear with us. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time when we’ve had to reduce our services.

We want to reassure you that we will keep to social distancing and follow all the proper safety procedures to keep you, our staff and contractors safe.  Our contractors will follow the government’s health and safety guidance and carry out risk assessments which will include asking you questions before they attend to make sure it’s safe to visit.

Office Appointments

We are also pleased to announce that from 4th August, we will be able to offer office appointments so that you can speak to a Housing Officer face to face.  I know this has been an important part of our service that has been very much missed. However, for everybody’s safety, we have had to introduce some restrictions. Unfortunately, we will be unable to take walk in appointments. This means appointments will have to be arranged and agreed in advance as the office will still be closed.

A Housing Officer will make the appointment with you and talk you through what you need to do when you arrive at the office.  We have hand sanitiser available and have fitted protective screens in both our reception area and meetings rooms for your safety, comfort and peace of mind.

Help at the end of the phone

Although, office appointments will be limited for the near future, we would like to reassure you that we are still available at the end of the phone and you can contact your Housing Officer for expert help and advice about wages, rent payments and any housing issues.

Keeping in touch

We will continue to monitor the guidance from the Scottish Government and will let you know any significant changes that affect you.  Please check our website and Facebook page for the most up to date information www.muirhouseha.org.uk

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult and uncertain time for us all.  Thanks too for all the words of encouragement and support for our staff who have a done a fantastic job working from home to keep the service going.

If you have any questions or concerns or would like to discuss this, please contact us on 0131 336 5282 or info@muirouseha.org.uk.
